The highly anticipated Homo Faber 2022, the most important event dedicated to artistic crafts, organized by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, in partnership with the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, la Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, the Japan Foundation and the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller, inaugurates for the first time in conjunction with the Venice Art Biennale, triggering a real dialogue between the arts in general and the applied or decorative arts that are contaminated in a prolific confrontation through 15 exhibitions located in various places. Alongside Homo Faber, the collective On Fire! curated by Bruno Corà, organized in collaboration with the Tornabuoni Arte Gallery in Florence, from April 22 to July 24 it follows the traces of fire that becomes creative material in the work of the great masters of the twentieth century, from Alberto Burri to Yves Klein, from Arman to Pier Paolo Calzolari, from Jannis Kounellis to Claudio Parmiggiani. In the same period, the Fondazione Giorgio Cini and Galerie Templon in Paris presented a solo exhibition of the American artist Kehinde Wiley, curated by Christophe Leribault, focusing on the colonial, American and global past, with a figurative pictorial language with colors and highly suggestive settings ( April 22 - July 24). Also in April the season of the Galleria di Palazzo Cini opens with a solo show dedicated to the great Joseph Beuys. The exhibition, which presents about 40 works by the multifaceted German artist, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, director of the Giorgio Cini Foundation's Institute of Art History, is organized in collaboration with Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery (20 April - 2 October).
