Venice pays homage to Inge Morath (Graz 1923 - New York 2002) with an exhibition curated by Kurt Kaidl and Brigitte Blüml, with Valeria Finocchi, promoted by Direzione Regionale Musei Veneto and by the Suazes company. Specifically, the exhibition hosted at the Palazzo Grimani Museum focuses on Inge Morath's Venice, presenting a new section for Italy dedicated to the Lagoon city, where the career of the first female photographer of the Magnum Photos Agency began. The protagonist of the exhibition is the famous reportage that the Austrian photographer made in the Lagoon, sent to the city by the Magnum Agency on behalf of L'Oeil, the art magazine that had chosen to accompany a reportage by the legendary American writer Mary McCarthy with Venetian glimpses.
