The exhibition consists of 120 images, including 55 unpublished, selected from Lartigue's personal photo albums (1894-1986), reproduced in part in the exhibition through facsimiles, alongside some archival materials, such as books - Diary of the Century (in the French original, Instants de ma vie), period magazines, a slide show with album pages, three stereoscopies with images representing snowy landscapes and elegant Parisian scenarios. A miscellany of testimonies that traces the entire career of the child prodigy of photography, from the beginning of the early 1900s to the 1980s and reconstructs the story of a great photographer and his rediscovery. Crucial in this narration is the year 1963, when John Szarkowski, recently appointed director of the photography department of the MoMa in New York, exhibited Lartigue's works in his Museum, consecrating him to success, almost 70 years old.
