Leonardo e la Sua Grande Scuola

Marco d’Oggiono (1470 - 1549), Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, Oil on panel, 63.5 × 56 cm

A few steps from the Gallerie dell'Accademia, which dedicate a major exhibition to Leonardo da Vinci centered on a corpus of autograph works by the Maestro, the exhibition Leonardo e la sua grande scuola constitute an original narrative path complementary to it, a unique opportunity to know the enormous influence of the artist in the painting of his time. The 25 works exhibited - of which two drawings attributed to Leonardo himself - illustrate a focused story, as well as the work of the Tuscan Genius, especially on the extraordinary production of his followers - including Giampietrino, Marco d'Oggiono, Cesare da Sesto, Salaì, Bernardino Luini - and on their dialogue with Leonardo's artistic poetry.
