Lorenzo Passi. Forged in Iron, Blown in Glass

A work by Lorenzo Passi

Lorenzo Passi's works in glass and iron bear the hallmark of a young talent, in which the tradition of Venetian glass art blends with Nordic experiments. From his apprenticeship in Murano at the most important glass factories, from Archimede Seguso to Zanetti, where he learns the techniques of blown glass and solid glass, to the Finnish years at Nuutajärven Lasikoulu (Nuutajärvi Glass School) where he begins to produce the first glass-sculptures, Passi returned to Venice collaborates with great masters such as Oscar and Andrea Zanetti, Giovanni Nicola and Roberto Beltrami, expressing his own unmistakable "style", in which glass and iron come together in a very modern poetic embrace.
