The facade, designed by Pietro Lombardo and completed by Mauro Codussi, constitutes one of the masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance with the four perspective panels with the Lion, symbol of the School, and two scenes from the life of San Marco. Inside were preserved the two fundamental pictorial cycles of Bellini and Tintoretto now partly in the Academy. Today it is home to the SS. Giovanni and Paolo.
