The Young Maidens is one of the most important works by Felice Casorati (1883 - 1963) who painted it in 1912 and presented it at the 10th Venice Biennale, following which the painting was acquired by the Municipality of Venice for the collection of the International Art Gallery Modern of Ca 'Pesaro. The painting portrays four enigmatic girls, Dolores, Viola, Bianca and Allegra, standing side by side in a surreal context full of details and symbolic objects that refer to the various personalities and attitudes of the different protagonists of the scene.
