In the Sale del Convitto of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the new exhibition and research center, Le Stanze della Fotografia, opens to the public with a major retrospective dedicated to Ugo Mulas in the fiftieth year after his death. The review inaugurates the exhibition program of the joint project of Marsilio Arte and the Giorgio Cini Foundation, intended to continue the path begun in 2012 at the Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice on the Giudecca. The exhibition Ugo Mulas. L’operazione fotografica, created in collaboration with the Archivio Mulas and curated by Denis Curti and Alberto Salvadori, presents an important selection of over 300 vintage images, including 30 photos exhibited for the first time, documents, books, publications and films, which propose a summary capable of restoring an open reading of the various experiences faced by Ugo Mulas (Pozzolengo, 1928 - Milan, 1973), a photographer transversal to all pre-established genres, capable of tackling the most diverse themes with the same intensity of deepening.
