In Venice, the most common eco-sustainable solutions in other cities are not always applicable, but this has never stopped us.

At Hotel Canaletto, sustainability is ensured through small but concrete actions: we have chosen to review many of our habits to reduce our environmental impact and offer our guests a more responsible welcome.

Air quality
unseen, yet felt

 
Hotel Canaletto is the first hotel in the world—certified by Bureau Veritas—to adopt the Hotel Armony System™ continuous sanitization system, developed by the Italian company Pureairion.


Currently, 53 devices are in operation across guest rooms, corridors, the lobby, the reception area, and the breakfast room. The system continuously eliminates mold, bacteria, viruses, and airborne contaminants without producing any perceptible noise or odor.

The technology works invisibly. It won’t change your stay in Venice; instead, it will enhance it without you even noticing.


For guests with allergies, asthma, or respiratory sensitivities: the system reduces the concentration of allergens, mold, and other airborne contaminants, helping to create a more controlled environment. The system is not a substitute for personal medical treatments or prescriptions.


The system's effectiveness is periodically verified by accredited laboratories through actual air testing conducted on-site at Hotel Canaletto.

Less plastic, more life

Refillable dispensers


We have replaced the single-dose bottles of the courtesy line with elegant, hygienic and refillable dispensers.


→ By 2025, we will have eliminated over 12,200 30 ml vials, equivalent to 113 kg of single-use plastic saved, reducing residual product waste and reducing pollution due to transport.

Reusable water bottles


Reusable steel thermal bottles: a simple gesture, to wave goodbye to disposable bottles and avoid the use of plastic while staying hydrated with our free micro-filtered and purified water.

Ecological detergents


We use ecological detergents in a concentrated format, diluted directly in the hotel.


This is a choice that allows us to drastically reduce the use of plastic bottles, packaging, transport and related waste.

We use recycled paper and choose renewable materials.
